As a result, the Department of Defense labeled the AI company a “supply-chain risk,” a designation usually reserved for foreign adversarial firms, such as the Chinese-based Huawei. Amodei said the label won’t have much of an impact on the company’s business, and that it will sue to overturn the designation.
